Wedding Ideas – The Wedding Taboo.

OK, I won’t mention the “R” word directly, but, here in the UK we’re not always guaranteed the best of weather during the summer months. So what should you think about when planning your big day?

1. Space.
If your guests are unable to mingle and chat outdoors, make sure your venue has allowed a big enough space for them to socialise inside. You don’t want them crammed in like sardines. Most wedding venues should also have a large enough room for your group pictures too.

2. Wedding Photos.
Getting those wedding images that you’ll treasure for a lifetime needn’t be compromised by wet weather. The inside of the church, the reception venue and other covered areas can make for just as good a backdrop for your bride and groom wedding pictures. The more character a venue has, the better.

A good photographer will also include the rain into your pictures. It was part of your day after all.

3. Whatever happens, embrace it!
We dream for the best, but, whatever happens, it will be the story you tell to people through the years. Enjoying the company of friends and family is the best part of your special day after all.

Below are some pictures I shot at a wedding where is was drizzling outside. The venue was almost bought by the national trust. It had bags of character.
