It’s not every day you get a pair of peacocks fly into your garden! They’ve been the talk of the village for the past week as they’ve hopped from garden to garden.

Nobody knows where they’ve come from or who owns them. Some say their call sounds like a strangled cat. But, as a former city boy, I love them being here.

However, they are vulnerable to attack from foxes. So if you know of someone who’s lost their peacocks or can help in any way, come to Overton and follow what sounds like a cat being strangled!

Family Children Portrait Photography Studios

For me, this flower says it all. It encompasses both my family and business life.

Wedding Photography is a great business to be in. I already know that this will be our busiest year ever as we have nearly doubled the number of wedding photography bookings for 2010 compared to 2009. We’re already on course for an even better 2011!

I’m also a Dad, and myself and Pippa are blessed with two young children. With the diary getting busier with wedding, portrait, PR and commercial photography bookings in and around Hampshire, I believe it’s important to put time aside for the family.

Unfortunately, it’s our garden that suffers. With 7 mature trees alone …. no, make that 9. I forgot the two in the front garden… it takes a lot of looking after. However, among the weeds between the patio paving slabs, I came across this Pansy. A seed from the flower bed above must have dropped down here. We’ve had so much talk of recovery “green shoots”, I saw this as a good omen.

When I next get the chance to de-weed the patio, I think I’ll keep this little plant where it is….
